When I play notes on my Korg MS2000 on a midi channel I hear both the MS2000 sound and Cubase defult sounds. My Question is how to disable Cubase defult sounds, so the only sounds I record will be the MS2000 souonds? |

dunno of this will help, but make sure the output on the left hand column is set to your soundcards output and not the general midi sounds... |

Looks like you have Local On on your synth and the MIDI notes are getting echoed back to your soundcard. (In english: do what I tell you now ;-)) Look up on how to turn local to off in your Korg manual. Choose a midi channel, and click the little grey arrow (you can find it in the bottom left). Make sure the the instrument and output are set to MIDI out (your synth). |

Its not just echo back, it sounds like hes playing with local on and the cubase midi channel set to output on his general midi device (maybe). I dont know what cubase 'default sounds' means, but its prolly general midi. Turn off Local control on the ms2000 and change the output in the track window to the number on your interface to which the ms2k is connected. |
