Hello,
Sorry for my bad english i'm speak german;)
I have tweaked a nice Bassline in ES1, with different lengths of notes and Velocity values in the basic midi pattern.
I wan't lose the groove created by midi values from ESM, but sampling each note of Key 10x with different settings to be able changing later key and groove of notes, looks for me a bit crazy xD
what other possibility's exist? Sampling a note with same midi values for all keys and hope that the tweaking possibility from sampler vst make it groove as great as ESM doe's......
So i'm curious what's your way (velocity,notes lengths.....) |

Why don't you want to run it direct from synth?

as i know, cosmosis sampled the basic waveformes from the logic synth and muon tau and later he build patches for kontakt sampler. so you have phase stable osc and can tweak with the nice kontakt filters. |

why not just sample all of the bass loops you use in one track and import them into cubase. that way you have the same groove as in logic, but just have to export a few clips.
sampling all individual notes would only be useful if you want to use exactly the same bass for different tracks which is horribly boring. |

i would say don't bother and use massive, ace or diva to get a similar sound to esm , once equed the 4 will sound close ,you might add saturation to get rawer/dirtier esm sound maybe as the other may not sound as raw and dirty. maybe using some of the logic drive plug you might catch some of the esm caractere .. but not sure it s even needed... once i made a bass in ace, compared to esm..i couldnt tell which is wich once processed |
