I'm a little lost at the moment.

I just bought an M-audio oxygen8 v2 midi controller and it works fine but I want to know how I can assign the knobs on the midi controller to different knobs on my vst's in cubase and ableton?

ableton has a Midi learn optyion ... right click on the knob and u can see it and then move the knob on ur midi and viola!

for cubase u need to use the software engima provided wit the controller .

Hope this helps man , it took me a year to figure it out on my own . lol

you don``t need the enigma software in cubase..you can do it all in decice setup..just ad a generic control and learn your parameters..done           -------......-------...-..-..-..-.-.-.-.-

it works like that only till u restart ur cubase ... or maybe works wit the original versions .

I assume it lets u assign the values but not save the genereic remote on the Pc or the midi controller itself.

I have. it does work, the only disadvantage is you will actually need to re-route all the midi cc's when you want to use it with other instrument on a different channel etc. Not the quickest and easiest way there is. I love Albino for that matter-midi learn           Monitoring devices, know where you go

Yes, with albino you just enable midi learn within albino, make sure you also enable read/write on the track, and it will record everything. enable - move knobs on controller then albino itself, that's it. Make sure your cubase gets the midi in msgs (shown in transport pannel F2) never got into enigma with my mk-449c but as soon as i sold it and got ReMOTE SL my problems went away           Monitoring devices, know where you go
