Hi,

Can someone please explain to me and all the others might want to know how to generate a bassline from scratch on a synthesizer?

What wave type to use, what are the
envelope amplitude and modulation settings,

Even this is a subjective thing to do please draw some common example

Thank you all

Yeah, a search will provide you with a TON of information on getting bass sounds, but to start:

I like to start with a saw wave and then filter off most of the high-end. Cranking up the resonance helps get a punchy bottom as well.

I usually use a fast attack (as low as it will go) and no sustain/release to get a fast, punchy bass note.

Lastly: once you have a bass sound you like, record it to an audio clip and then use a sampler to play it. This will ensure that it sounds the same and doesn't get tiny variations in it when playing at fast (1/16) paces. Some softsynths seem to not like being played that fast and changes the note slightly.

Hope that helps.

And check some bass presets to get an idea of the way your synth is working.            Signature
