Hello Dear Producers !

My name is Yassine, I used to make some music in Traditional Hiphop, and some basic Psytrance music too, and I lost all my projects while I discovered lately that the DVD I burned from the computer before formating it, is not working anymore

and as I planned to study in the Concervatorium of Rotterdam city in Netherlands, for Music Production studies, I need some projects in Psytrance or chillout made in Cubase SX, please dont hesitate to send me some unused projects of yours, so I can show them in the admission entrance exam
http://www.codarts.nl

please Upload me one of your projects, used VSTis - I have most of the best famous VSTi synth, I need just 3 songs !!

Yassinjester@gmail.com

I will be grateful to you if you helping me in this hectic time, that is niether not enough for me to produce, as I lost apetit for that by the shock
Greetings from Rotterdam

Yassine.

why dont you just whip up a couple of simple 16 track house or something tracks yourself .. i doubt there will be many people giving away their hard work like this .. anyway , check subconsciousmind`s website , i think he has a complete track as a cpr including the plugs and audio bits there for tutorial purposes ..

best of luck

I asked about a project because I created many and sometimes I feel like I can give some of them to poeple who are in need - even if I hadnt been asked, otherwise I will give them, as for now I really need 3 projects, and I can even pay for it if necessary - I know how tiring to concentrate again on a project, thats why I feel unexcited to do so - so please understand my situation..

Peace & Light
Yassine.

Dude,
With all respect to your unfortunate situation, but dont you think it is slightly wrong to try and get into a prestigous school with someone elses work? ask for an extension and write a new project.           Work like you don't need the money.

Strangeness comes from not understanding. When you don't understand the weather a simple lightning is very strange. When it comes to human interaction strangeness is more often than not based on inaccurate or partial background of particular request.

What's strikingly obvious is the absurdity of "Music Production studies" doing research about music on strictly "Psytrance or chillout made in Cubase SX".

Something is obviously out of context, out of proportion or with utterly non functional cover up story. Not that I'm interested in the real agenda, but when somebody needs to hide something that's certainly for their interest and benefit.           "It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition. My discovery was the result of musical perception"

Hmmm i figured if someone would want projects they'd straight out ask for them instead of coming up with such an elaborate story!

Yassinje, if your story is true, you do not belong at the "Concervatorium of Rotterdam city in Netherlands, for Music Production studies".

Considering they have a numerus fixus on admitions, no one should help you. Assuming your story is true, anyone sending you a Cubase project would potentialy be cheating someone else out of an education. Only legitimate candidates should get those limited spots.

But frankly, I think shamantrixx is right. Your story makes no sense.

You might not be accepted if you use some shitty project. I don't know the requirement to enter this concervatorium.

Anyway isn't better if you let them know what happened to you and ask them for some more time to submit a new project.

Well excuses aside (which is pretty lame I must admit), I also wouldn't mind any sample projects in my DAW of choice too.

I will explain. All my life I've plagiarised to get things done. Whether it's writing software (reading open source code, reading books on sw design patterns), writing essays by reading other essays and cliff notes or anything really, I'm someone who advances much quicker by looking at prior art and learning by example than the frustrating process of trial and error.

Now I would never invent any excuses for asking for artists hard earned work, but I have many ideas and melodies and rhythms in my head but I lack the patience and time (full time job) to gather all the information regarding recording techniques, sound theory, production tricks, hardware issues, software compatibilities, signal processing you name it. I know it sounds lame but the musician inside me knows only solfege and 6 years piano (only baroque) and I wouldn't mind skipping the whole sound engineering learning curve needed to make electronic music.

Now before you judge me with the typical comments like "find your own style/sound/inspiration", "you want my hard earned work on a silver platter?", just think about what I'm saying here for a moment. Art will always be Art. Sharing it doesn't make sense. But engineering sound to make music could be a collaborative effort, much like software is in the open source world. When someone wants a tool or technique or anything, they don't necessarily reinvent the wheel each time (although it happens a lot).

So far I've attempted to read Bob Katz Mastering Audio, some manuals and guides, the sound on sound article on synth secrets, and so far I don't feel like it's helped me much in order to explore the musical side to computer aided music.

So yes, examples are always a good thing. And if Undertow ever decides to write a book I'll buy it, but until then, why do people still try to guard their precious secrets like if it was some sacred scientology manuscript or something. Do artists rely so much on production quality in their music that if that knowledge were public they might feel insecure?

Ok enough ranting, you can flame me now

i think you should look to make music with someone if you just like the arrangement side ,a project ll not help you to know what to hear,it s useless, books can help you but it s the same, you can know everything about theory, a "beginer" with good hears ll have a better sound.

Uhh.. if you lost appetite for music making, are you really applying to the right course? (Music Production Studies...)

@neuromantik: I completely agree with you, but I don't think that's the point here. The guy obviously has prior skills, I assume some are needed to get in to the school. Believe me I know how frustrating it is to lose data, but if he can't/won't use the skills he has to whip up something if this education is really important to him, then I must agree with UnderTow that he is stealing someone else's spot if getting in because of a project that someone just gave him.

I agree that it would be nice to see some established artist sharing full projects as I too frankly find the whole sound engineering stuff boring and time-consuming and I wish it wasn't so important but it is. But that should be for learning purposes for the entire community.. this however.. I don't know.
