Hello everyone
I have a doubt about some things and I hope you guys can put some light in this.
Ok when I make some melodies like pads or some leads I note that after the song that I insert in some bar or in some specific part of the song be played it remains playing even if the bar that I inserted it finishes..got it ?
I have a basic understanding of synthesis and occured to me that it keeps oscillating...but I dont know for sure
Eg. I made one Pad in Vanguard and put it in the beggining of my song, my ideia is that its duration only a few seconds and them stop, the midi note has aproximately 8 seconds BUT why when it finishes I still can hear it across the song ???? ...(and it sounds different it changes, dont know if changes the pitch or the form wave or other things)...
I have Flstudio 5 as sequencer. Can some one help me with this ? I really want to learn why this happen I sincerely dont care much for my song I think the most important thing is to learn this issue and be able to control that. anyway it keeps playing and its cool as a matter of fact brings more density to the song but I wanna learn !
thanks for your time

Read up about the ADSR envelopes.
There might be some "Release" on your patch.

i think i know wt ur problem is...i think ur putting notes on the step sequencer which is y the notes keep on playing...wt u need to do is right click the vanguard channel and send it to piano roll...now click on the piano roll window and u can select the duration of the note...hope this solves ur problem!
