Hi all

Recently I have had some really annoying load-times, when I open up a vst in FL studio. It just keeps saying "Locating albino.dll"... My HDD is working really hard, but defragmenter says there is no need to defrag the volume.

Anyone got some suggestions on how to make this process faster?           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

Press escape while you get the "locating albino.dll". message. 7his will cancel the process and if you try to reload it it'll hopefully pop up in no time; just a cheap way to bypass it though I'm sure there's some better solution out there. Used to happen to me frequently while ago with some synths like albino or z3ta+ but not anymore using 8.5.

Cheers!

Thanks for the advice, but it doesn't help
Is there any relation between the amount of vst's installed and the loading time?           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

i also cant understand why it need such a lot time to locate a vst. it would be fine fl studio implement a cache file with the correct path of the dll´s. i can imagine htat it will be faster when you dont install in subfolders of your vst directory.
but cubase needs also a lot of time in the starting process to scan the plugin folder.

I noticed the same issue but it's much worse with the 8.5 beta version (that version really sucks when it comes to stability)           http://www.soundcloud.com/bandarlog

^Yeah, I just had a virus and had to format everything. Now I have finally reinstalled my system and most of my vst's and now they load as fast as normal           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk

Put your soundcard in audio options to primary driver and try reloading the project.
If the plugin does not reload period (happened to me once with Albino!) all you can do is request a new password and uninstall and then reinstall Albino!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:
