i have a behringer truthe pair of monitors,
and today one of them desided it will stop
working, give a low hum, and the bass mid membrane will be sucked in...its very wierd...i just turned it on and theres the hum...and the membrane just sucks in...
does anybody know anything about this phenomenon and how to fic it...?

very sound advice... and probably they're still under waranty, monitors usually have a long waranty-period. |

this happanes when you have DC in the audio signal. try to connect the bad speaker to the other channel. it might also be that the amp is broken, then you'll have to reapir the amp.

well my speakers are fead from the control room output of my mixer, so i dont understand quite what you mean by other channel,
and another question is, how come the speaker all of a sudden is being fed by dc current?

I meant switch between the two monitors, just to make sure that it's not a bad cable or somthing like that, but I guess that this are active monitors, so it's probably something wrong with the internal amp causing it to produce dc instead of normal audio signal. |
