what is the term "LFO" and what does it do to the sounds??? and also what happens to the sounds when u change the wet gain nad dry gain???

lfo = low frequency oscillator and it is ued to modulate other things .....
for example u could use an lfo runnig @ 3 hz , sine waveform , on the cutoff of the filter and thus u can alter the timbre of the sound by using the lfo to modulate the cutoff frequency ...
dry = original sound
wet = processed sound
dry + wet = new sound with how much effect the fx will have on the original sound depending on how big the wet value is ...
bye and take care .. |

thanks man....and does modulating the sounds as in AM make the sounds more crispy????
and what happens if the carrier is above 20000hz ????

i think u are a bit confused here m8 !
AM = Amplitude modulation ....
in amplitude modulation u are using one wave to modulate the amplidute of another wave ,,,
tht carrier thing tht u mentioned , i got it right , u are talking abt carrier and modulator waves tht are a part of FM Synthesis = Frequency Modulation ....
in FM synthesis , u do the same , use one wave to modualte another , but here this time , it is not the amplitude tht comes into picture , but u are modualting the waveshape itself , so the sound changes dramatically ...
u get different results with different carrier : modulatir ratios and by using different waveforms as carriers and modulators ... |

thanx a lot man....
but what i actually was asking was that we superimpose our sound waves on the carrier waves ....so in our end result do we also hear the part of carrier too???
and if yes ....
what if we modulated the sound waves with carrier of frequency of more that 20000 hz ...cuz in AM the freq. will remain constant ...i.e of the carrier .....

and one last question ....
what is automation ???
