Hi !
I try to measure the decibel level in various mixer channels in fruity loops.
When i measure the kick , snare hihat
it´s easy to see what decibel level they have.
But when i try to see what decibel the basslines, leads have it´s difficult because
the level jump a lot.Anyone who can help me to figure out how to find out which level they have ?

Thankful for any help

The highest decibel peak is dynamic through time.
What are you trying to do exactly?           Crackling universes dive into their own neverending crackle...

Hm i have exactly the same problem.
I think he means to measure the AVERAGE Db of those lines, bass or leads.

Is there a plugin or something?

I use the plugin fruity db meter that comes with fruity loops .
Yes exactly, what im trying to find out is what the avarage db level the bass, leads
have.
I wonder if the highest peak is the exactly
the db level for my instrument, im not sure
because when i measure my bassline level
it jumps around a lot and only shows the highest peak at certain moments.
Most of the time the level on my bassline indicate that it´s lower than the highest peak.
i will search for a db plugin which shows the average value, what do you think i should do ?

I use wave candy to see where my meters are going, very cool little plugin... although it can't give you the average DB, it clearly shows where the meter is at all times, and keeps track of the top level... And it looks awsome...           www.xun.dk / myspace.com/xundk
