i have a 5.1 sound system in my living thats includeing an active sub woofer ( the whole weiring is passing throgh the amp)
is there any way to plug the sub-woofer to my computer . i connect my stereo sustem to the comp so i use the stereo speakers as a monitor ( turn up to be great alternative for pro monitors btw coz i cant efford  )

Be careful when making music with a sub - this may totally change your low freqs.

your stereo amp it has to have a rec out if it has you can connect it from there
if it doesnt have one maybe it has a line out
if it doesnt you can do it from the headfones out but its not the best to do and if you do that maybe it will bypass the main speakers
anyway i dont think that you have to listen your mixes through the sub because your speakers have enough bass i think
finnaly
DONT MIX THROUGH THE SUB IT WILL MAKE THINKS VERY BAD ON YOUR MIXES
