hello ppl ! 
im going to buy me a new sound card, my budget around 2000 nis, i think about the luna, but there is good RME sound card about the same price, and there is the delta cards, and power samper??? what shuld i buy ???? who have what and what you recomed me ? if some one can explain me what the defrence between luna and power sampler ????
p.s.
i know that qustion was askt alot of times.. but still i want to ask ))))

T.E.S helo first of all what are you want to do whith the card i mean u want only to record into the computer?or u need a low latency if you are using vst? i have the luna and its a great card low latency and effects that use a dsp that on the card and this is the advantge
of cw card that they are bassed on the dsp and do not take recources from the cpu.and also you can run on the luna the app powersampler or the alectra.and its a 24/96
so i think you should go on this card i dont know about the rme or the delta
good luck and the luna coast like 2500 whith the power sampler plugin call to music shop to get the full information

well, first of all i have now creative live, now i want a card that gonna get better sound quelty 24\96
and as i know luna have dsp, and my computer not good enogh for music
i have:
p3 800, i change to p3 1000 in feew days
and 512 sd ram and in few days it will be 1024 sdram
and when i have alot of chanells anf vst's in cubase it start staking and etc..etc...
so if i get the luna with the 3 dsp's will it stop stuking???? will the sound qulety in reason, fruity?? rebirth will be better?????
i dont want to buy something and rigret after...
and i know there is elektra for luna, as i heard it is synth???
what is the power sampler??
what can i do with that????

i dont recommand you to buy soundcard that costs around 2000nis because you will regret after exactly 4months...
and its just not worth to buy cheap card if you know that you will need to upgrade, you will need to sell this one and buy another.. just waste of money.
my recommandation is RME dsp hamerfall multiface, i use that card and its just monster,but costs 4500nis.
i heard that MOTU is good card too nad costs around 6000.

cha , it's a $750 card , what ?
I never going to buy new equipement in Israel ,
that's for shure .
btw , at motu.com they say that 828's converters
sucks , they have internal problem of some kind ,
there is Apogee and PrismSound cards , still too
expansive , but a good ones .
today it's all 24/96 ,anyway when my upgrade time
will come , i think of buying the MOTU 896 .
i don't have enuff $ yet , work , work , work . . .

its price in israel is ok compare to abroad.
best converters, and great latency

T.E.S helo agian i think u missing the point of the sound card its hard to belive that the sound u making in fl or reson will sound beter
you need good sound card for high recording (24/96 standart today)and as low as you can get latency which depend on the asio driver your sound card use.the power sampler and the electra are plugins which u buy whith the luna (u pay more money)and they take the resources from the dsp on the bord(in luna 3 dsp)the dsp resources are not
influens on the reguler vst which stil depend on the cpu power so dont think that if u buy luna you can tun as much vst as u like RONG!!!
btw ppl here mantion the muto sond card he cost alot and he use for audio recording (for alarg number of chanels )i dont think you need that go for the luna you dont regriat on that i can promiss u

tes for that kind of pc u wont need sucha strong card like luna i think
coze u'll rich limits of pc resources much quicker that limits of that sound cards
check Audiophile 24/96 of M-Audio
small sound card with 1 dsp
4 ins 4 out+midi+asio/asio2 suport
it have very low latency ,have good sample rate,half pro
and cheap too
on ebay u can find the price below 100$
better invest u'r money in improoving u'r pc

well pentium 4 is total shit.... and amd is not so good too, pentium 3 is the best, pentium 3 1000 mhz qith giga of sd ram is not good enogh????????
about this rme card,, how much dsp it have????
is there any soft synth's and plugins with it??
is it sold in music shop????
is my computer good enogh??
all i need better sound and that cubase dont stuck... when i have alot of chanels and efects ?

its just cubase thingie
if u dont want it to crush buy the cubase with the plug and still its not promising smooth work

hi t.e.s....
i m using the RME-Hammerfall DIGI 9636 (...~ same price as luna) and i m very happy with it !! good lateny, less cpu usage, good sound quality...and RME does his job in case of updating drivers and so on.
i use it on a 900mhz thunderbird/512 sdram, logic and vst only (--> no analog gear).

but check out the m-audio audiophile isnt much worster but much cheaper (~ 1/2 price ).

u fot an exelent machine for music making!!
i got p3 866hz 524ram and its rocks anyway!
so i think u need to optimize yer pc and stop being so confuzed about the cubase performance
btw:fruity loops woun't work better with a pro high end super card coz it's not made for that purpose, although its a great prog (but not profesional... )
so u better invest yer time and money on music making and original ideas and not on the equepment search journeys
