pitch envelope, bending from note to note...? it seems to be a sound not that difficult to achieve with small room rverb |

do u mean maby uses 3 instance of the same vst for the diferent notes?
yes i have logic7 with all plug's available nearly,so it's more a matta of skill than equipment in this situation!!
im also wondering if there is filta envelopes here to,its sounds like the freq is opening as the notes go higher, tis tricky to really get a hold on whats happening, seems so simple but is not!!
thanx 4 help guys |

Intresting indeed....
I was also wondering how to create those sounds.
Astrix also uses them often...
As uccpd said it does sound either like pitch envelope, automation or portamento is used plus room verb. but that crunch when the note slides down...might be a specific synth that sounds really crunchy on lower notes...not sure...

Try a low frequency saw wave (maybe with a bit of noise or distortion added) then modulate the pitch - might be easier to use pitch bend rather than an envelope. You will need to set the pitch bend range high to sweep the note down far enough. Put the saw through a tight bandpass filter (4dB/Octave) then add a strong room reverb...
You might get something similar by doing this but the exact tone will depend on the flavor of saw-like waveform you use plus the filter design. |

you will definitely want to design this sound with the MOD/pitch bend wheels function!!
i doubt you will get the sound you want just from playing a single note.
i thot this is very obvious, but said it anyways |
