working for 2 years on vestax 170 and want to upgrade to something that will last me 5 years at least. so here is my list :
* pioneer djm 600 - because its the standard.
* tascam x9 - this one is my favourite for sure, looks like a true monster, if anyone worked with it, i would love to know how it feels.
* vestax 275 - because its close to what im used to, but better.
* vestax pmc37 pro - any idea ???
* allen and heath xone 62 - worked with it quite a bit and i LIKE those 4 knob eq... love is more suitable here, actually. i LOVE the 4 knob equalizer.
so, please help.

hey dude, my first recomandation would be: not to buy a new mixer at all. its much too expensive for just playing at home, also sound quality is not so relevant when u play at home.
better use the money for something else.
but if u decided u wanna spend ur money this might help:
djm600 - for me its most easy to use, big knobs and so,but sound quality isn`t too good, and it tends too break.
tascam - i never use it
both vestax machine has very bad engenring so its no fun using the little knobs. specialy if ur doing a alot of cuting EQs.
allen and heath Xone62, is very soft so if u r the kind of dj (like moi) who uses the mixed in rigid way don`t bother it will not last. not good for techno mixes since its has so such little knobs and its soft.
also before u buy check how much DB the mixer cuts in the EQ, i know the DJ600 cuts very good bass. |

yeap, i heard the same about the xone, the faders just dont last.
you rasied really good point, man. about not needing high-end mixer at home.... i just cant stand the fact that my mixer doesnt have level meters for the cue track.... it makes me.... m-a-d....
well, thanks anyway.
ill think about it again. |

i`ll say it in better words, if u r rich and have the money go and buy a good mixer.
if u r not so rich, well do something better with the money, cuz its just u playing records at home, and after like couple of months u will use it less and less (i don`t spin records at home nowdays like i did 2\3 years ago).
well i also wanted an hi-end mixer but insted i got me an RME-multiface, and i must say it changed my life.
also if u really want to spend money check this link for REAL analog device. (if i had money i would go for analog machine and non of the mixer you pointed in ur Q)
