I think it would be more about how u perceive the end of the world would happen.
would it be chaotic or calm?
(chaotic - (look up mars - holst) multi tonality, repetitive driving rhythms, competing leads, lots of tritones and chromatic notes. Lots of contrasts. Lots of disturbing off-tuned synths.
calm - monotonal, slow calming rhythms, predictable melodies that are very shmalzy and cheesy(i.e. aeolian). shallow contrasts.)
would it be slow or fast? would it be constant or dynamic? would it be a story?
Write down a story ( in a way that is expressible in music ) and realise all the pieces bit by bit.
The story would give the piece depth, a good execution would give you prestige.

Im sure he means a sad chord progression.
I realized it was a stupid question, but I wanted to know the answer.
Ya, especially at 4:30 in that track.
And by when I mean end of world I mean sad, dark, epic (but not really happy) sounding.
Kind of like this too: MWNN - Teleport

I'll look at that track and experiment with a bunch of diminished chords.
"Have you ever had that feeling where you're not sure if you're awake or still dreaming?"
"Hmm, yeah... All the time, man - it's called mescaline. The only way to fly!"

hehe sorry for being a smart ass I can't help myself sometimes... part of the aussie culture is "taking the piss"
The end of the world is such an abstract and subjective experience it would be so many things for so many people and its definitely a sound id be interested in creating in my music too... FOr me the end of the world will probably sound like some full spectrum oscillating drone sorta like on a high dose of DMT

I'm new here so hello everyone! Great forum btw!
I'm pretty new to making psy trance but i've been playing guitar for quite a while and i always had trouble turning my ideas into music. But its something that you can learn to do with time and practice.
What you need to be able to do is recognise the the intervals that you are 'hearing' in your head. If you can do that, then you can get you ideas into music!
This website helped me a lot. There's a video on there that explains how to use it.
