help!! I need to find a scene in thailand.

I'm currently living in bangkok for the next 3 or 4 months. Is there any Thai-psy to be had in this country? I would love to get a gig or offer my help (set-up/sound/decor/etc)to anyone throwing a party.

go to koh pangan  you'll find something related to psy there for sure .. dont think thailand has a scene as far as i know .. maybe private parties!

thailand has a scene, although it's pretty commercial and usually more drunk jerks then anyone else!
koh pangan for sure, you got the super commercial full moon parties, the better black moon parties and half moon parties. And many small bars around the island which organise they're own small parties (you even have day parties). You can pretty much find psytrance playing here everyday of the year.
I've also found myself dancing to psytrance in the streets of bangkok, at the ooze bar, a makeshift bar in the street. I think those guys have packed up now and moved down south somewhere to open a new psy location. (I think in the mainland of the south penisuala)
I've also come across psy bars/clubs at koh chang but i think parties here happen mainly in the high season. There is a club in koh phi phi that plains real commercial psytrance.

Anogenic is pretty spot on.
Essentially, you are going to be surrounded by dnb, house and top 40 hip-hop.
But that's not to stop you from starting up your own psy party! Check out the Thai tribe I moderate on tribe.net:

Will be traveling alone to Koh Samui after a training course in Phitsanulok. Dates are 9th - 13th Feb (rules out all the lunar events at koh pangan)
Looking for more of the laid back psy vibe... maybe a shack to spin/listen to some chillout sounds. or some info on quiet nature spots I can jump to from Koh Samui.

And even dnb and house are not that common. Most clubs play that "if you go to san fransisco wear flowers in your hair" song once a night and that is pretty much the electronic music scene for most of Bangkok. The rest of the night they will play top 40 rap (no real hip-hop) and there are A LOT of Thai cover bands playing Thai love ballads and stuff like that.
