I am just getting a bit worried cos I am off to Boom pretty soon and I just read the posts about XPO and the cancelled festivals....
Anyone else going to Boom this year or I am I gonna be the only loony dancing around by this (beautiful) lake?  I need moral support!!
Well I guess it is not true that all festivals have been a disaster this year.... VooV was excellent and I just came back from a lovely
outdoor party down the road from me (Liquid Connective near London)...

I think u have nothing to worry about - Boom has a long tradition and I believe it will deliver the strongest festival of the summer

jon dont get worried from the ruined festivals here in greece.
Everything happened because of the bad organisers and i am sure that Boom festival doesnt have this kind of organisers since it has such a long tradition.
GO for it and have a good time.

jon, i dont think you should worry, but (there always a but)...There is lots of rain going down in Europe, which i think will stop.
just check the news once in a while.
Enjoy !!!! 
BTW: I will be at the Samothraki Festival and i dont care its rain, snow, no music, no DJ's...

i'm sure the orginizing of the boom will be good and same for samothraki.now all we have to do is pray there wont be any rain.

Thanks everyone - now I feel a bit better:)
Now all i need to do is get to portugal!
And buy a dinghy to sit in on the lake.
Say hello if you see me at Boom - Ill be in the middle at the front (joke:)
I hope Samothraki also goes well... I know quite a few people heading over there and I was torn myself.... but it seems to have a lot of energy behind it so should be good.

u have nothing to be worry about, BOOM is a absolutely nice event with most colorfull and friendly ppl in the world.. and this year they have super interesting line up and NO CANCELE, dont worry...

btw,a nice tip.if you get to land at lisbon airport at night and you're in a realy NEAD for smoke,ask the taxi drivers gently to take you to some place where you can get it or....it will be a little bit expensive but you'll get the thc you nead for the way...

yeah Ulf I really wanted to go to orejona - the lineup looks just my cup of tea. And a few friends of mine are definitely going... I just couldnt face so much solid partying without a break - my mind would pop like a balloon. Hope you have a good time!
As for Boom - will take your advice and head for central square to get some herbs in preparation. Me and Tom (I'm travelling with Mr Anteater) have a couple of days in Lisbon before and after Boom to chill out. On the other hand we didn't yet book a hotel room cos I am a lazy bastard. So anyone who's in Lisbon should look out for two people with backpacks lying in the gutter:)

There will be a lot of people from germany going to the boom about there is sure that everything is working well.
and when not we have the hole lake for us
anyway the voov was perfect and here in germany every party is going well
