-i have a M-Audio ozonic audio/midi firewire interface connected to a pc.
-a mixer connected in the input of the ozonic.
-loudspeakers connected to ozonic
i can hear the sound coming out from the mixer with speakers but i can't record in any way a file in the pc of the music being played
isn't there any way to route the signal that ozonic sends to the speakers to some software able to record it?
thx
bye

The simplest way: You can use the Windows Audio Recorder under program>accessories.
OR
you can use the software that comes with M-Audio interfaces.

so you want to route the output to the input?
hmm i think you could be able to do somekind of feedback loop by connecting a cabel from the soundcards input to mixers send and send it to a channel that picks up the sound... hmm i dont have my stuff connected otherwise i would do a test and tell you..
i havent been fiddling for a long time, but i remember i did something like that....
maybe someone can explain indepth.
sorry i cant be of much help, but it works in some way...
and of course you should be able to record with most audio software that has a record feature, as cubase/adobe audition, soundforge, wavelab, ect. |

Control Panel (Classic View) > Sounds and Audio Devices > Audio (Tab) >
Switch your default sound recording device to your sound card, if the sound card doesn't appear, you need to install the drivers for it. Check "Always use Default" (or something like that )
