I recently added a hardware synth to my setup, and now my audio preview in 'import audio' doesn't work.
I can see the preview bar moving, so I know the sound is playing, but I can't find out where it's being sent. The rest of the setup is fine and tracks are playing normally. It's just this one thing.
I've been to the XP sounds option in control panel and checked the playback devices is my soundcard. All fine..
Any ideas? |

BUT here, I restart Cubase and sometimes audio preview is back... I guess u´ve already tried this!
Anyone else with this?

I just fixed it for myself - in VST connections, go to the studio tab and make sure your sound card is set correctly there.
If it works intermittantly it might be another program trying to grab the audio, try playing wih the 'release aiso driver in background' setting, and making sure there are no other audio apps running. |

Also for a problem like this, you may wanna check and see if anybody has posted over at Cubase.net about it.
Could be a know problem with a known work around.
Good luck guys...
