I just did probably the stupidest thing in my life.
i was connecting a pair of monitors i bought, midiman sp-5b, and one of them had the voltage switch set to 115v (voltage here is 230 volt). so i powered up the one with 230v, no problem. when i powered up the other one, which i supposed was in 230v also, the blue led light up for about 1 second and then nothing. only then i saw it was set to 115v........ what can i do now? am i hopeless, or this can be fixed with just switching the fuse? please help me i don't what to do!!!!
i feel so bad... |

The monitor doesn't turn on anymore even with the switch pointed to 230v ?
If the amp is 'smart' so it might be only a fuse - if not, u should just replace the monitor.

monitors should have a fuse.
and they should be protected against this kind of "usage" don't mess with them - take them to the store and they'll replace the fuse.
in the worst case ... u know what will be in the worst case.
boom.

Ok, i have the fuse model and voltage, should i replace myself or take it to the store? taking it to the store to replace the fuse will cost $ and i think it's very easy to replace... |

it will cost you more if you do it yourself and it turns out there's something else wrong with it, and you still have to go to the store. I'd say it's worth it to go to the store from the beginning and pay a few $ or €. |
