Once upon a time....
..or more exactly in 2001..
there were two female souls living in a small town in south of Sweden.
Without knowing that sound waves were about to bring them together, Katja Turpeinen and Sandra Rapéll
went to a festival in Germany to feed their need of bass and movement.
Some where on the crowded dance floor, probably between the left and the right speaker tower,
they met for the first time.
The adventures of the Helltown Chicks had begun.
Back home in Helsingborg they bought their first vinyl records and placed themselves behind the turntables.
After some months with heavy rotation, new needles and complaining neighbours, they forced some friends to let them play at a party.
After that things started to happen; The chicks got their first bookings in clubs and small parties around Scandinavia and Germany. They also organized their own club events "Hus I Helltown" at "TipTop" the only underground place in their hometown.
For some time there was curiosity and new things to discover; club´s, open air´s and new sounds to collect but after a while the restless girls needed to stretch their legs; packed their bags and moved on to Germany and Denmark.
Up for some other projects and experiences besides playing as a back to back dj team.
At this moment, right now, they are sneaking around on a dance floor near you to tune in and set up the right freakuency.
Preparing to serve you a progressive potpourri on plastic plates with a various taste of techno-trance-electro-house (no cheese) so when you are in a area where it´s energetic, electronic, moving and grooving it might be that you got touched by the chicks from hell!
