Hiho.
Any seasoned psytrance producers out there that could help me out with a small prob.?
Ive been playing around with a modular synth called Vaz modular for the past couple of hours trying to get those typical farty sounds you hear in a lot of psytrance tracks (cosma, psysex etc), but I'm having probs. Can anyone offer a few tips to getting those kind of sounds...they sound very analog, so I'm assuming they were done in some kind analog synth.
Right now I have one oscillator, connected to a filter, and a triangle LFO modulating the filter and the pitch..but it sounds crap.
Vaz Modular is an analog synth, but everything I try sounds like it came from a c64 |

I think it's more an envelope sound than an lfo sound... maybe that'll help ya? But why would u wanna do that boring sound anyway?

Well...the tune I'm working on at the moment is a chilled out psytrance style tune and I think sounds like that would sound great...anyway...I figured it out..thanks anyway
Btw, you were right..it was an envelope sound.. |
