true dat, and he's really good about responding and sharing info
actually, search out his post in "the mother of all leads" thread - he goes over how to create one of his commonly used white noise & resonance leads... this lead is purely a noise oscillator, so you can use any notes in a percussive pattern.
i didn't mean offense, i just mean that your asking a question that isn't actually relevant to what you seem to want to do. If you want to create FM-style leads that may or not have a discernable pitch, why wouldn't you at least write the midi on an in-key note? That way, even if you tweak the sound later, you won't sound dissonant if it starts to have an obvious pitch.

my doubt comes coz i find it very hard to do scales when workin with those SCRATCH sounds...
coz when u start to do those scratch sounds in the synth u loose the KEY...

true to some point
some synths dont lose the key with FM like Virus
but the nord defiantly lose the key.. in some situations also not really
same for lfo , if you tweak it right it should stay in key (sort of if its pitch lfo.. but then thats what you want not straight tones..) specially if there is attack for the lfo (FL gives that as default for sampler channel)
