I am running windows 2000 on an intel pentium IV 1.5Ghz and use cubase 5.11
(ram is 256)..
i have noticed that problem lately that each time
i open cubase from its original location the time it takes for loading the file is longer and growing.. i use a very few waves right now
(very short ones) and most of the parts are midi.....
it could take something like 2 mins for loadup
mabe 3 or 4 for global cut..
i must mention my pc runs perfectly most regular programs and usally does not even blink when it reaches a high cpu usage (i mean it's stable)...
anyways i decided to ask u ppl what to do..

Most of the time is some plug-in you are installing and it couses the problem.
I had this problem and i had to delete them from my h.drive.

Try to Defrag your computer (àéçåé ãéñ÷). You'll be surprised how much this can affect loading speed.

thanks alot..
i removed waldorf's attack, this caused the problem.......
mabe fucked up crack or something,,,,,
oh and one more thing....
how can i opem .mid files?

you just import them into mid channel like you import audio or recycle..
file->import->midi file
