So what do you use for general listening? I have a pair of crumb Technics that sound super muddy, but my wifey surprise me recently with these http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/1c7efaa15727a938/ and I've be really impressed.
i just use rechargeable batteries, but the quality of music has improved significantly. From all spectrums of EDM I'm just finding my listening to be such a pleasure, and also the fact I no longer need to crank it up loud (I live in the CBD).
So what are yours?

For home I use AKG Acoustics k240
Had them for years and they still sounds good.
For leaving the house I use the classic creative ep-630
Had these for many years aswell and kind of "know" how stuff should sound with them.

At the lab I use old Sony MDR V700:
At home and parties the Technics RP-DH1200:
With iPod/iPhone I use two different Sony ear buds, no idea which ones. I bought the last one @ newegg, it was not that cheap, and I have the impression it sounds worse then the old one...

I found my set of those Technics were A) really freakin' heavy & B) really muddy sounding, beat matching was a real pain in the ass IMHO. I was using a $15 pair of Samsung headphones instead last few months just sounded clearer & then got my Audio Technica and it's awesome!
Best thing for me about audio Technica @ gigs is that it cuts enough enviro noise to make mixing a real pleasure but can hear others talking directly to me clearly with them on so no need to take them off n' on again!!
