Depends on what your using them for. I assume Production.

Personally I use the MDR7506. They have lasted me several years and they are great for just about everything. I use them to DJ and in the studio. The wont break like the V700's.

Most of the other Dj headphones aren't that great for production. they are extremly pumped up with a less than accurate high/mid/bass response.

Hey, i have a good idea!

Buy all the models which had been advised by the users:

Sony MDR-V150
Sennheiser HD25
Sony MDR-V700
MDR7506
HDJ-1000-Pioneer

And chek them .

Which you not going to like ,just put in the garbage, and keep those ones that you like.

I heard that Alien project and Sub 6 using Pioneer hdj-1000 by Pioneer ,to produce some of their high quality material.

Cheers

The output is 107 db/mw on both of them but only difference is nominal impedance,
---------------------------------------------------------
Pioneers's impedance is 40 ohm and
Sony's impedance is 24ohm :
---------------------------------------------------------
Impedance – Generally defined in ohms (Ù), impedance is the electrical load that is presented by the headphone to the sound source driving the headphone. In general, both consumer and professional headphones have impedances less than 100 ohms. Although impedance used to be important for identifying amplifier shortcomings, now it is primarily used to determine the number of headphones that can operate off of a single amplifier.
---------------------------------------------------------
Well, take Pioneer and if you have set of two cd players and mixer pioneer it will be nice complect, otherwise take the cheepest.
