I'm looking for headphones for production.
right now i have the sennheiser HD280pro or the AKG K240studio in my mind...
any other suggestions?

Beyer Dynamic DT-770 PRO(closed) or DT-990 PRO(open).

Either what AvS suggested,
or go with the K240 - you won't regret

I suggest B-D DT-880 there is no difference between 880&990 exept for design durability..
but 880 goes with aluminium box

i also use the Beyer Dynamic DT-990.
i compared them for a long while with my dad's AKG K240studio, and in my opinion the BD has the better sound, exspecially as far as bass frequencies are concerned.
but if you want very neutral headphones, im not sure, if the BD are the best choice
