The only issue I have with the Sonys are that they tend to break at the swivel joints. I have had 4 pairs of them and they all have broken the same way. But I do love the bass response that it has. I don't know if it is the best for producing, (it probably isn't) but for djing it's great in a loud environment...

yeah mate! they are realy good for dj and shit.. but for production... no good..

Yes, but how are those compared to the other "rivals" in the same price rate? Because to be honest I dont "digg" the looks of the Sennheiser HD-25 (SP) .. But yes.. I am thinking of them as well. I have heard so much good things about Sennheiser HD-25. So if Sennheiser HD-25 SP are in the same quality street of Sennheiser HD-25. I guess I should ask the store if they can get me those. But of cource.. I would like to read multiple answers and opinions before I make a final decision. (And it will proberly be next week)

I am in love with my k240Studio from AKG! Killah man, killah!
Best thing though man, would be for you to go to a store and test some pairs for yourself ya know? I tried many headphones the day I bought mine and it was very important for me to test the options I had. If you can, go to a store!
Take care! |

HD25SP use the exact same drivers as the HD25, the only difference is in the headband.

So you would say go for it then? (HD25SP)
I have been highly recomended the k240Studio from AKG, but to be honest, I can't use those while walking in the streets with my discman/mp3 player looking cool. They are so big, but oh so light (weight).
I am seriusly concidering the Sennheiser HD-25 SP now..

They don't seem to stock beyerdynamics in that shop, otherwise they make nice cans for music making.
I have a pair of DT250 that is one of the only headphones i tried that feels like you can actually get an impression of the bass on when mixing.
And beyers is known to be the most rugged and long lasting headphones you can get.
A bit clumpsy compared to the sennheisers though for using with the MD, but I sure prefer them for music making.

Well.... wha? What have I missed? hmm.. better look at the case of my headphones to see if I got the "original" ones or the HD-25 SP ... Ahh.. i see. HD-25 SP is the "younger Brother" as someone mentioned earlier. But your talking about HD-25 SP1 ... Tell me, whats the difference?
Anyway, get the original HD-25

i have that one too, it's great... never had a better sounding headphone, and with very good clarity, i can hear every little detail in them, even stuff that i don't hear at all on my speakers |
