I'm getting my cdj's n' stuff in about 2-3 weeks and wanna know what headphones I should get? Money is not to much of a problem, and I like more th progressive and old skool style of trance, not some much GMS/Alien Project sounds, though I don't mid a little bit...
so what is your opinion on what headphones?
Thankyou much in advance |

try to find any model that you like in these brands, there are many more but i just know those (been playing with them for a while)
try to go to a store which sells them and try before buy... your ear's preferences will be always your best advice
P.S. dont play them too loud, they really damage your ear, and trust me, surgery its expensive
If you believe in the X you'll be relievin your stress |

I enjoy my Sennheiser HD25.
One of the capsules got damaged once, but the store replaced it for free because I still had warranty on it |

If you want long lastings quality headphones, I'd go for Sony...
These are the only heavy duty headphones...

I've got a Sennheiser HD-25... nice headphone, good frequency range... and it's good for producing work as well. |

Sennheiser HD-25 **** (Can get uncomfortable when worn for long)
Sony MDR-7509 ***
Sony MDR-7506 **
Sony MDR-V700 * (DJ Beat matching purpose only, very inaccurate for "normal" listening) "Never argue with an idiot, they'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience" |

Check out the German "Ultrasone" headphone line. They have models designed for specific purposes (from DJing to tracking to mixing to listening to music...) They are relatively new brand, just about forcing their way to the world of big name players on te market.
I have the 145 EUR model HFI-650 Trackmaster. I`m using them only for listening to music and they are simply unbelievable - closed but with deep and wide soundstage, neutral, transparent, with excellent isolation. They come with 4 meter straight cable and are foldable. They are built like a TANK and easily powered by weak sources.
An Ultrasone fan, yes. |

I'm talking about the MDRV series...
I've got the 900 for five years now and it really seems unbreakable. I also used a sennheiser at work (you know, the white one), and it broke after only two weeks...
as Hrishikesh sayd, the 700 is only usable for beat matching purposes, but the 900 is suited for both studio and DJ'ing...
