They are all quite good. I've seen alot of the sony's break. I have the Pioneers and I'm very happy with them. They are light, strong, and have good bass for mixing in loud environments. My friend bought the technics and says he likes them alot.
From experience I'd say stay away from the sony's they break easy. Other than that it's just what ever you prefer. I like the pioneers because they are low profile and still kick nicely.
Good luck on your decision

Which is perfect for DJ mixing (which by the names he listed is what he's looking for...I think)

astrotec, I agree completely:
I say go for Sennheiser, the good old HD25 are great.
Just make sure you buy a headset with the correct impedance ( if you work with low impedance equipment, high impedance headphone would sound VERY weak ) |

I tried some of the fancy looking headphones:
Technics rpdh1200
Technics rpdj1200
Pioneer hd1000
denon DNHP1000
They all broke pretty fast because of weak construction and cheap plastic materials...
And most of em dont sound flat at all
My latest choice: sennheiser hd25
And i will never get anything else!
These are great
You forget you're wearing them, they sound great and are really strong
Also you can buy replacement parts if you break anything
For the studio i chose beyer dynamic dt770
Sound great and are also good for singers and guitarists.
Contruction is also great, made of metal but still light enough to wear long for a long period of time.
Hope this helped

I had a pair of Sony hp's but they broke......now I've got a pair of Technics hp's which I've been using for more than 2 years....no probs. I've read about a lot of people complaining about Sony hp's .
Happy Days! |

If you need to get one pair only, you only pay v.a.t., 15.5%.
so, use eBay, man
You can get even better prices there.
It's not only for 2nd hand.
e.g. this headset can be bought for 266$ incl. VAT and transportation NOW.
It makes it ~1100 shek.
no jokes.
