having a problem with the cubase...

hi..
im using Cubase VST32 5.1r
the problem is thet after 3 minutes of working i start to hear noises..all the sounds is become a mess..and i must restart the program...
i have intel p 4 ..3gb and 1 gb memory...
the sound card is : creative extigy

i don't know much about creative sound cards but i remember that they were more towards consumer/gamer. for starters, try to use an ASIO driver and look what happens (> problem elsewhere?)
here is a free ASIO driver if your manufacturer doesn't ship one with the card:

yes check asio setting .. increase buffer inside cubase , but u will have some latency issues there. also as well as what like dtd gave for `asio4all` Also maby u are using too many vst , fx in one time . try bouncing , freezing some
