http://www.drugpolicy.org/docUploads/The_CLEAN_UP_Act_HR_834.pdf

read page 15 onwards

above is the link to a pdf file, circulated in the US to pass a bill which will give undue powers to the govt. to stop raves in particular (this is what i understand tell me what you think )

but before that go to this link from where i got to learn the facts

http://actioncenter.drugpolicy.org/action/index.asp?step=2&item=10378&ms=cleanuphp

now the point is that even the govt. in the US doesnt want the trance mzk to come above the ground(stay underground) ....... coz rave=trance (but this bill if passed will make ravers grounded atleast in the US )

what all govt does to stop the cultures which defy their dictatorships . all done in the name of drugs .....
what do you think ??????? want to know maybe my perception to the topic is not right ..........

"the controversial new law, which extends the federal "crackhouse law"-which makes it a felony to "knowingly" and "intentionally" allow property to be used for the purpose of drug dealing, manufacturing, or use-to cover temporary use of property, such as a rave in a rented warehouse. Originally introduced as the "Reducing Americans' Vulnerability to Ecstasy Act" in 2002 by Sen. Joseph Biden ( D-Delaware ), it stalled that fall after Congress received more than 40,000 letters of opposition. However, it was enacted last April, when Biden tacked it on to the "Amber Alert" child-kidnapping bill, after excising its "RAVE Act" title and rhetoric about "loud, pounding dance music."

Taken literally, the law is so broad that letting people smoke marijuana at a private house party could be a federal felony."
