Review of Hatemagick - Cybermechanical Antichristian Phenomenon

Being a good friend of the man behind Hatemagick, I feel a bit biased in writing this review, but also that I am able to give you certain insights no other person would be able to.

I got to know what would become Hatemagick around two years ago, studying in the same town as Jon Andre Lundal. He was a philosophizing, solitary person who felt out of place inside the walls of university, and he often told me that music was will itself in the form of sound.

The album starts out with a real energetic aggrotech instrumental piece called "Cybervampire". Jon told me the whole album had been remastered for the CD version of this album, because he wasn't happy with all the compression he first put on it. He also told me he was about to print a limited amount of demo cds which he would give away to friends.

Hatemagick is more than just music(k). It is also the whole discipline of magick that he has himself invented and uses in everyday life. Strongly inspired by other great masters before him, such as Crowley, Levi and more, he seems to feel it is his duty to elaborate on what others before him could see and realize.

Basically, it's an awesome meltdown of aggrotech, ebm and electro-industrial musick brought together in what is sometimes downright evil and sad, into what is brighter and what Jon himself probably classifies as happy, whatever that may mean for a person from the coldest of Norway, the origins of where black metal was invented! If you want to hear something that is fresh, underground and on the way of becoming

something to be reckoned with in the musical world, you should definitely check out my

friend and mentor Jon and his one-man band Hatemagick.

All his music is up for download on Lair of Hatemagick. and he even sends out merchandise for free to his fans, he's a really great guy in all ways and always there when I'm down or in need of mental support.

I did this review to try and help him promote himself, because he really deserves more listeners.
