I have been to an island party,more than twice at the same island...magical as it may sound,forget all others sunrise was out of this world

ees indeedy, Thailand 2004, only major obstacles was that there werent enough boats for all the phreaks, so waiting time to go to the party was like an hour and same for the way back Was worth it though, sunrise was amazing,looked like the whole ocean was ablaze with giant wave serpants dancing with one another! (wait..that was the thai mushies..whoops  )
hehe either way, a killler experience, parties on islands are always a treat! You feel isolated from screwed up civilization, which is a realll treat

Hehehehe we live on one actually...so for us it's normal but it's great especially when the sun comes up on the horizon of the sea it's beautiful...I have also been to khaopan gan in Thailand and had also a great time on this island party back in the millenium...

Though coming back to the topic. Organizing a party at an island is a totally different ball game. I have had the oppurtunity of having attended/helped organize parties at 3 different venues, with crowds ranging from 25 ppl to 1500 ppl. Logistically it is a mess (Braindrop rem the boat ride back with the speakers?)
Also when you do a party at an uninhabited island, it calls for a hell lot of work to make the place human friendly. There was an Axe deo Voodoo party (Non Psy) done a couple of years back in India on a virgin island and the whole place had to be prepared well in advance and the production costs for the party ran into more than $40k if i rem correctly.
Place had to be made snake free
The whole area was marshy and we had to build a whole quasi temp resort ambience on a temp wooden floor.
Temp docks had to be created.
Wiring, elec generation, logistics, boat hires etc etc
A lot of work...

actually i was raised on an island and also fell in love with psytrance there...
some friends and me gathered in a small forest at the beach nearly every weekend and we did private gatherings there...
unfortunatley the authorities forbid it after some years with the explanation that we were filming porn movies ?!?!?!?
