While it may do reverbs rather well, that has never been the sole focus point for the harmonizers. Kickass pitch delays anybody? Deep editing of presets, many AES I/O and it´s nifty firewire interface. It is without a doubt the ultimate effects box, but with an ultimate price tag to boot. Really it´s the kind of thing you buy when there are no other things that tickle you.
(I am far from that point yet, but the day may come)

As for myself i want new monitors in the more or less un affordable class, but other things have come up, so it will have to wait. I am getting great results out of what i have now so on the whole i have few wishes that wouldn´t be interpreted as redundant gearsluttery

(A Fender J-Bass would be sweet too)

Agreed. I had a friend's Eventide Orville for a couple of years, when we were making music together as "Unison".

At first I was blown away from the reverbs. My trusty Lexicon MPX-1 did not even come close to it. Then I got into its modulation and pitch FX. Absolutely loved it!
I would sure get one again today, if I was rich. But because like you, I have more important things to spend money on, I use SoundToys' Crystaliser for pitch/delay FX...you'd be surprised how good it sounds and hot editable it is compared to the Eventide hardware.

Peace out.
