if you buy another synth you'll need a mixer to plug them both or, preferably, a soundcard with more than one input
have that in mind before spending

you can buy sound card with one output and just buy mixer with group ch
Group out (from the mixer) > Input in your sound card
and than you can record evry synth you want.

yes you can do that, but you can also end up with a very noise record, dependind on the soundcard and mixer combination.
also, with soundcard ins with can apply FX to the outs of synth, like EQ, reverb, etc
note to mention that many synths have crappy FX (some have none).
  roll a joint or STFU :) |

Novation synts sound that bad so even their plugin can replace those IMHO.

novation synths are good, and very flexible, wich lots of modulation sources and destinations...
great synths to learn how to make patches.
i've seen very bad things being written about the novations, but if you check the reviews in sospubs are other magazines, always good stuff is said about them.
I own a novation nova, wich won the synth of the year prize in some magazine the year it was released, and few synths (soft or hard) have the same modulation abilityes and features.
with 3 OSCs playing double saws, plus other 3 for ring and noise, you wont get that fat elsewere
the novation also had in 2000 features that only recently came in other synths, like syncing an oscilator to itself...
i like it a lot

but the sounds on novation synths can only be as good as you can program them to be.

see dude,
when i first started listening to goa/psychedelic music (back in 1994), that music had something in it that is absent in modern psychedelic music.
Like for instance, music had meaning, it was storytelling, beautifull, rich in dimenssion and space. even if i was just sitting in chair and listening to it, it would take me to a jorney accross the space, it had mood, color, and I sure as hell didn't need XTC, LCD, Acid or Mushrooms to get tranced out, just pure music.
nowadays, i see that most of psy producers and not just psy, but any other scene as well, producers are more interested in copying each-other's basslines, sound patches, kicks or whatever rather then creating something original and unique.
of course not everyone is like that and thank god there are few that still trying to push the scene upwards, but still these few are very very hard to find.
