Yo Mike , what monitors do u use ?

Tannoy MX-3
No monitors, but good stuff. The not-so-acoustic room I have won't help even if I get the best monitors ever.

Yes it is true that many people and established artists are moving to softsynths but they also own a good deal of other hardware as a good mixer, compressors, tc finalizer, e.t.c.
I don't think that a softsynnth can beat or even match the fatness and warmth of a hardware one. It is much easier and faster to use a computer for producing a track, that is why people who already own hardware are using software alternatives, but then most of todays trance is boring repetetive and sounds like thousands of other tunes, when hardware can give a more "organic" sound.
And using your mouse or a midi controller cannot beat the feeling of twisting the knobs of your hardware synth.
But stilll i think if i had the money to buy the latest clavia, waldorf or access synth, i would prefer to splash the cash for a two valve compressor or finalizer.
I am very happy with my nova and nordlead. |

"...get a Juno 106 that has been converted to MIDI capable." |

isn't the juno 106 midi compatable as default? And the juno 6 isn't?
just had to make this comment... sorry.
