Damn, so with the ES-4 I could turn that spdif out into 5 cv messages... damn good... I see what this is about now, how could I not know about this before?
(funny that their hardware names are similar to the synths and samplers in Logic, btw, not that it matters much...)

You can also break one out into 8 clock/gate ,midi or dinsync
Also has an expansion to put cv back into the daw,
Cool if you want to intergrate fx with the patch
