Hello!

I have a question about SX3 and external hardware connected as a "vst". I installed my Supernova II and it works great. but i can only use 2 outputs in this vst mode. and my Novation has 8. i would like to send each channel of the synth to a separate channel in sx3. i know there are other ways to do this. but is it possible on the external vst way? thanks for reading & anwering!

thanks for reply!
i know. but that's not a problem. i have a digi 002R with 8 normal inputs and 8 adat inputs. yesterday i have seen a screenshot on the steinberg website that shows an external instrument with more than 2 inputs.
my problem is, i don't know how to set it up correctly. (

What do you mean by using a hardware synth as VST?

vst is software, what options will it give you as vst?

I record the hardware straight to the inputs of my souncard.

Let me know please.

yes maybe its nonsense to call it like this, u just use the hardware synth in sx3. but it IS a bit like a vst then; you can load a synth as much times as the number of stereo outputs is has. talking stereo. and automate every output independently (well thats how it is with the nordlead2). offcourse in your hardsynth then you have to send-activate this number of stereo-channel also. the storing of presets is different story and not working like vst at all. and to enertopia: how many outputs has your synth? are you using them all? it also took me some time (and help) to find out there was an easy to use second synth hidden in my nl2.

enertopia, its as vipal said. in sx3 you can define external hardware in the vst connections. when you do this, the hardware appears then in the vst-manager.
