This is my first hardware synth. How does one typically ensure that sequences from the outboard synth match the internal clock and tempo of the host?
I'm connecting a Dave Smith Poly Evolver to my E-MU 1616 microdock.and hosting with SX3.1
Now when I want to record a time-based sequence or arp pattern do I just do it and then apply any necessary time adjustment in Cubase editor?
This is probably covered in my manual but I just got this baby and haven't checked yet.
Also, what kind of patch cords should I be using to minimize interference along the signal path? Balanced? Mogami? Monster?
