Does anyone use them? Can anybody recommend some nice ones?

I hear alot of good things about the RS7000 but I don't like the fact that it can only hold 64MBs...

RS7000 is a very good choice! I had one some years ago but i didnt like the drumsounds and wasnt that fun to use. But for hardware seq. and controlling your other midi gear its superb! You could go for the rm1x also wich is cheaper if you only need the sequencer part. I have the E-MU MP-7 now, it lacks the sample option but that could be solved by adding a small sampler or so. I think they made one that could sample but cant remember the name, looks the same but its white. The sequencer part i think, is not as good as the rs7000 but its still tight! Ilike it because your cant tweak the drumsounds as your kan with the synth part trough the 16 knobs. it has assignable ribbon control and its VERY intuitive. expandable by 3 slots. and a shit load more. Its fun to use and switching between record/tweaking is sooo easy.
Got it hooked up with a basssynth and it worked like a charm.
One i could recommend is the Quasimidi Rave-o-lution! Man this one rocks! not the best to use as you main hardware seq. but it sounds so fat! Worth a listen.
Otherwise theres the swedish Elektron machinedrum, dont know much about it but it looks like a little monster and the sounds and tweaking capeabillity's are near endless i think. but its also very expensive.

MPC's, dont know them that well. Used mostly for hiphop and there most be a reason for that. But they are still pretty tight.

Personally, for the sound primarelly and the possibility to tweak sounds i would recommend: Elektron machinedrum/monomachine, Quasimidi Rave-o-lution, E-MU MP-7/XL-7, RS7000/RM1X.

For the sequencing possibility's: RS7000/RM1X, E-MU MP-7/XL-7. Dont know about the elektron machines capabillitys as hardware sequencers.

Just my 2cent's, and this is just how i see things, somebody might disagree:) Hope it was of some help.
