Im working on Fl Studio 5 and i have an m-audio audiophile 2496 with a behringers mixer. I want to route the hardwares signal to the Fl's mixer. How do i do this? Connect the effect to my soundcards S/PDIF or to the mixer(which is connected to my soundcards inputs)?? Then ill just choose the right input in the Fl Studio mixer, right? I dont have the processor yet, so im just wondering here how it works.

I was planning to buy lexicons mpx200 or tc's m300. They cost about 200e each, still lexicon and tc are quality brands so they should be good, or not? They'll beat software, right?

But theres an input for every fx channel in Fl5.

Btw. how can i define which effect i want to a certain channel? Like for example delay for the fx1 channel and a reverd for fx2 channel in fruity and so on? Or do i have to convert everything to audio and put the effects one by one? Confused...

I havnt heard the Mpx200 but I think the M300 is a waste of money! It doest not beat software reverbs at all. Ok there a tons of software reverbs in all clases so you cant really say that, but I think that it doesnt even beat the cheap ones. Personally I think that Ambience sounds better!
If you really have to go with either Mpx200 or M300 go with Mpx200: Ive heard good things about it.

my soundcard only has a master out, so i can't select an output... But normally if u have multiple output busses u should be able to select them in the output selector of each track in the mixer...

throw every track u want to be effected it through the buss that ur sending to ur desk... I would use the desk as an intermediary (like that u can use the sends and inserts and attach much more effects in a much more flexible way).

then u have to use one track in ur fl-mixer and select the input bus on which the effected signal gets returned into the computer as the input of that track (u have actually made a send/return if u did this correctly).

Leave the output of that track (the returntrack) on the output ur amp/speakers are attached to (master out in my FL)
