Knowing how Nate does his sets it's much better that he uses a laptop. I would say that Nate deserves to use one because he does so much with it.

So a laptop was used, damn my ears are good,i was guesstimating it was programed.Nothing is on the fly with them things,it does the actual dj-ing for you.Right click, drag, drop, right click, drag, drop.Don't forget to upload your tunes before your set, most program's need to analyze the track before playing, digital has given the rise of lazy DJ's automixing and beatmatching. Are you saying it's best he use a laptop because he's just the programmer hiding behind the screen like in the Wizard of Oz when Toto exposed the wizard by revealing a non-magical man operating a giant data processor, eliminating the intimate hands on experience that actual DJ-ing brings? Is it a train wreak without it?I see now what was meant by it's the future, just plug in your ipod and go play with ass and titties before virtual sex replaces that too,it's the future.

You're a fucking tard. I've been DJing since 95'. I can beat match vinyl just fine. CDJ's are just as much of a cheat as a laptop. Anything with an accurate beat counter is "cheating", so please get over yourself. I use traktor because it lets me jump around the tracks by a specific number of beats so that I can make all the breakdowns line up, not because it auto matches. If you seriously think beatmatching is what makes a great DJ, then you have no clue wtf you are talking about.

SRSLY, wtf is intimate about CDJ's? It's just a pretend record player that's really just a computer anyways. Sure plenty of people abuse traktor and just let it run the show for em, but I am not one of them and you can kindly take your assumptions and shove them up your ass.

I'd much rather listen to someone pushing their laptop to its limits than watch yet another "real dj" only blend the last 128 beats of the track because they wasted so much time intimately beatmatching or looking for the perfect cue point... IMHO, thats a LOT closer to just putting some shit on an iPod...           Spacecamppsyfari.com

You need to reboot, something is eating at your hard drive. No dj here, just a fan of real mixing, actual dj-ing.I have a computer with music software and I've seen cdj's.It would be best if a cdj mixer would confirm your data about them being the same. Why open the door to mock you if you can't handle it,seems all you people rather become negative than put a good argument up to support your thesis

I'm not a programmer, its free to get cracked versions,i would have cdj's but i actually have to work for things like that and i'm not interested in being a dj,i rather be dancing and let you pros do the hard stuff, so how about this, you take all the tracks you listed and mix them on the fly on some cdj's and have people in your area confirm you can actually mix.Even better, have one of the witnesses make a video so we can see. This new mix you will be performing on cdj's should be about the same length in time as your programmed mix to back your words up,its a win win for you since cdj and software are the same, open this shit up,lead the way

ROFL.

It's not programmed. It took me a month to put together and about 30 takes to get it right. In fact, theres still three mistakes in it. Your attitude is offensive to say the least. THE MEDIUM IS NOT THE MESSAGE.

Also, theres no way to do it on CDJ's. Theres tons of double and triple drops that start with ambient and go for quite a while before the beat comes in on all the tracks at same time. If I used CDJ's, theres at least 8 mixes that would have been impossible or would have at the very least required adjustment once the bass dropped.

Either you are a complete n00b, or you're a troll. Probably both...

Mock the track selection or the mixing or whatever, but arguing over how it's done is retarded.           Spacecamppsyfari.com

so cd mixing isn't the same as computer software programming.i already knew that, thanks for the confirmation of proving yourself wrong
