The real issue here is all the faces I could be melting on the east coast, not whether some people who don't know me approve of my methods.

Just finished up a mix for a radio show back in MN, I'll post the link when it airs. It's got pretty much every genre in it, so
I'm sure the purists will enjoy ripping it apart.           Spacecamppsyfari.com

haha, an acquiantance of mine, Deadmau5, once said in his controversial interview that all DJs should die off, because DJing is not real anyways. After all, what do they do? only beatmatch music, thats all. Without realizing it, he basically told his major customers off, but thats besides the point.
Alot of people underestimate a role of a DJ. They tend to worship producers, which is all fine and dandy, yet they forget to realize that the true mood-setter of the night is actually a DJ. And depending on how a DJ set will be played that particular night, that will set the precedent for most of the night. You may forget about this set an hour from now, but in the long run, pieces and remnants will remain in your subconscious. I can hear you denying this argument, but over my vast experience as a dj, and now as a producer, this is a conclusion i came to. Now, a DJ can utilize any format. In every format there are elements of challenge that can separate the good djs from the not so good ones, whether you use Vynil, CDs, DATs or whatever. The fact of the matter, its up to you to stand out and break the barriers, or even just create a story, because a story can be created in any way, as long as it is intelligent and actually going somewhere (and not stagnating and boring). Does a DJ do any work during his set and is he worth the money he is charging? I heard both sides of the coin arguing their butts off on that topic for a long while, but honestly, after seeing some "Live PAs" out there, I would only say, a DJ sometimes happens to be more "Live" than a live pa.
That's my 5 cents.

Made a soundcloud and posted up my set from Worldbridge.

I was asked to play dark, so I went with a slightly different interpretation and tried to make it tell an emotionally dark story. I used the "Requiem for a dream" soundtrack throughout and interspersed pop songs with vocals pertaining to the movies mental state at appropriate times. The mix starts off ecstatic and empowered and slowly declines into despair and insanity while touching on the love hate/slavery relationship with addiction.

Ok, so now we have a satellite dish and I've bought a site and started teaching myself web design.

I'll be uploading new mixes weekly.
