totally, drew-id. technology is unnatural. you can only use technology to simulate your own interperetation of the natural. it will always fall short no matter what format. why do you think they say the secret is to bang the rocks together its because the synths cant make that sound neithr can the sample packs. if you use technology use technology to its fullest and evelve with it as it does. if you dont then cool. but dont act like cd djing is somehow a classic art. Fact is us dj's get upset when our chosen format that we spent so much of our lives learning becomes slowly obsolete. You rely on technology for your art form then your art form will become obsolete when your technology does. Love what you do and constantly search for better newer ways to do it. Or stay in the past and complain about progress old farts. when i was yer age it wasnt all this space bar crap we had real plastic play buttons and digital displays. hell i even had a zoominator on my music playing device. if you choose whatever you choose good for you. perfect it, get better at it. but dont try to put yourself above others based on their personal choice of medium. this argument is old stale boring and counterproductive. stop it you could have been spending your time moving forward without internal conflict.

i love the idea of hidden dj's it takes the focus off of the artist. you wanna see what they are doing peek behind the oz curtain. otherwise pay no attention to the person pay attention to the music. or to yourself. social rank is hard to avoid when you are forced to look in the direction of the person hitting play. it makes them seem larger than life.

The world needs to know that artists are just people we are not super talented. we are not super trippy. we are not party godesses. you like what the person plays fuck it. book them or go see them or download their music. everything else is just a distraction from the psychedelic experience. ANYONE can do what trance artists do

if you personally feel cheated by not getting paid for your trancing then you need to find a new job.
we all do this out of love or out of ego then through the course of things find ourselves. I started music because i wanted to be a big deal i wanted to be loved by anyone who liked my music and worshipped my skills. i was lacking confidence and self love. through that time period not making money off of it was difficult for me to deal with. then once you realize why you havent stopped even though you arent getting paid that there are other more important things than money that perpetuate your passion.

i dont even know what this thread is about anymore but it doesnt need to be about this. because all of this was unecessary to begin with as were the other 127,395,378,274 posts about downloading, pc djing, party organization, or music taste etc.

stop it. move forward.

the psychedelic trance scene is stagnant we need people to push the boundries even if its not perfect yet or exactly what we expect or desire.

be open to change that is the number one way to keep the psychedelic trance scene alive not monitary support or dancing sooo hard your legs hurt.

you wouldnt tell a river to stop flowing just as we shouldnt tell people trying new things that they are doing them wrong.

evolve with the music dont try to keep it the way it was when you liked it the most. Dont hold onto the past as if it was the best of times. the reason there are ever the good old days in anything is because the people involved forbid it to evolve.....then all thats left is faint vapours of something that was once vibrant and alive and is now extinct. either psychedelic electronic music can peak and receed or it can keep going up with no forseeable peak in the near future.

point and case punk rock. musically dead. although the original fellings that made people want to do something different havent died just their willingness to find new ways of doing that has.

i dont know about any of you but i would feel MOST cheated to find psy trance on hot topic shelves being sold as a way for teens to stick it to their parents. there is something more here in this music and in us that is worth keeping alive. We get lax or irresponsible with it then society will devour the scraps of something beautiful that we left behind.

p.s. nate keep being you even if its not everyone else.

I agree with a lot of what you say Facehead...
We are back to personal opinions though...

Do what you do HARDKORNATE!
If your heart is in it than "its all gravey baby".

Psytrancers can get VERY serious about music and how-what-why-when to do it.
Lets get whacky!

Oh, and for a monent of honesty... the real reason I wasn't going to post any mixes is that I don't have internet yet and am having to go to the grocery store to get online. I just did a search and apparently my mix from Sacred Earth is still online. I guess people keep downloading it
