hard drive from mac to pc

Hi I was wondring if its ok to connect my external mac formated harddrive to my pc (laice 500GB).some1 told me it can fu*k it up .Is it true and have you done it before?

Ive triedc it with transmac and macdrive on my pc- Borth programms damaged my external fw hdd which was formatted in hfs+.

format your hd at your pc using the fat32 file system driver..then if you plug it at your mac u shouldn't have any problems |

warning , if u are using macos 104.0until 10.4.3 if u try using a external disc with macintosh journaled volume into a pc and vice versa it wont work , now , if u are using the last update for tiger osx u can allready use the harddisck with fat 32 or ntfs format , since osx will aloud this function from now on 
now if your drive is journaled allreadt to macintosh , then its just a mather of asking here

I also heard that transmac and macdrive can fuck up things...
The best option i heard is to use TCP/IP
