coolest instrument ever for chill.
it was just invented in 2000, i think there is only been a few thousand made and you have to go to the shop in sweden to get one.
damn i want one.

it´s a swiss instrument..
you cannot buy it anymore from normal music shops because so many people wannted a hang drum, but the guys who manufacture those don want to increase their business.. they do everything by hand themselves...
so the only way is to write a letter (not email, they won´t answer) to their adress in zürich (switzerland) to get an appointment.
then you can go to that appointment and buy your hang drum. its around 400 euros....
appointments for 2007 are full, don´t know about next year... try myself to get one...
or, take the piss and buy one on ebay for 1200+ euro..... thats how much you can get for one.... cause they´re so saught after...
one thing, played live they sound way better than on the vid ;-)

I saw a girl who played on a hang drum in the street last week when I was in Stockholm and I thought 'hey what is that?'. Thanks to this thread I now know what instrument she played and I must say that the sound of the hang drum live is simply marvelous.
