making my plans for december....it would be great if someone could tell me how to go about it...accommodation etc etc...the usual.....
will be travelling from chennai...

You should stay on the 'otherside' of the river. Thats where the commercial tourists dont usually go. Rent a bike and then go exploring in the hills. Hampi has got some tripped out landscapes!
There are some chilled out cafes to hang around as well.
p.s. go to monkey temple and take some prasad from the babas there  very friendly folks.
Dont forget to offer them some of your charas.

ola 
jus wanted to let u know that we've opened a nice guesthouse cum tipi restuarnt on the other side of the river...its called "arba mistika"...will post the flyer soon...looking forward to seeing u guys there..

Some friends of mine just got back from Hampi.
They stayed @ Arba Mistika..and loved it.
Pics look very different from anywhere i've been.Bedrock City
Cant wait to go myself.
