1) get synth 1: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/214.html
2) start from an empty patch and use: 1 saw oscillator through a low pass filter (closed down to your taste), apply a filter envelope (zero attack, low sustain, fast decay to your taste).
3) that's it, simple and nice bass sound, made within a few seconds with a freeware synth!          $ exp(j*pi) + 1 = 0. $

l337, i don't think it's necessary to buy one of those synths right away. i hope he will try with a freeware synth and learn how to do bass sounds from scratch.           $ exp(j*pi) + 1 = 0. $

Use -

TauPro
CronoX3

Or both of them together with an backup of 'Super Quartet' By Edirol , All those 3 open in the same time will bring that deepness you are need . Now .. For more spatial area in your bass try open the 'R Bass' option or a 1 of the 'Blue' family , Then take all via Dynamics MultibandCompressor And .. Into iZotop Trash . Im sure it will do da work . Good luck ! .

I've been getting yelled at for saying this for months, but I agree, FL isn't going to provide anything of a sequencer for you in the future, don't get used to it..

I'm not even sure if FL supports VSTi's, anyway if it does I recommend in your case AudioRealism Bassline..as was said..

Qane .. You made my morning .. !

What you mean when you say 'Im not even sure if Fl supports Vst's' Haha .. Man .. You are an walking living legend for sure . I never use Fl (Working on cubase) But man .. I can hear (Yet) , Dont contempt and disregard others intelligention , Dont be funy , And dont write what you'r not sure cause maybe at the end some peoples (New maybe in the producing world and here in this site) will belive you . Try write the right things .

Now .. For the Fl program .. Lots of things was writen about , Good and bad . I think this program is an nice 1 for beginning . But you will feel the transition and the full gratification and satisfaction , Options & possibilitys on the ProTools , Logic and the Cubase .

qane, surely u wouldve started with fruity loops?
lank people do, it's those who change to Cubase SX and Ableton Live who actually go forward.
fruity loops is a fuckin dead end.

oh dear, dude , dont start another fruity vs cubase war,...there hasnt been one for ages..which is a good thing.

wana make base.

get a wave editor

drzw a sign curve say 25 Hz, then take 5 harmonics, ie. 50Hz, 100Hz, 200 hz 400 Hz

and draw those..mix all 5 together as one blip...and eq

you will have an as phat as fuck bass if you do it right...i did it once (its basic acoutsic theory) and it was sweet
