oh well i hope you all commercial enough to enjoy it. i wonder how much /hallucinogen/ charges for his .....set???? lets fill his pockets with our dollars people....hahaha.

simon is no doubt commercial but I would never pass up the chance to see him. He is trully a musical genius, I love him so much, if I was gay I would sleep with him.
yeah 30/35 bucks is a bit steep, but its definatly worth it to see the master........ |

I fail to see how Simon is commercial. To me, commercial is producing unambitious tracks for the money/fame instead of for the music. Simon has been consistantly putting out of some of the most original psy since the early 90s.
Just because he has success doesn't mean he is commercial.
There are a great deal of Israeli carbon-copy producers that have no mainstream success like Simon does but I would consider them commercial because they make uninventive formulatrance to get booked live. |

Check this out guys:
Last week I learned that one of my closest friends will not be in miami this semester. He is returning to his home town. I thought it was pretty fucked up because I'm pretty much alone here now that this guy is gone. He stays in Conn.
Later today, he gave me some news that was so shocking that all I could do was envy and applaud him.
He told me that he and four of his friends will be catching hallucinogen live on the 10th.
Yeah, well what's so shocking about that??
Well, this is his FIRST psytrance event!!!
Most people in the scene are not lucky enough to see simon posford perform live for their first psytrance event. This should be a monumental experience for him(Unless simon showboats like Astral did in DC, which I'm pretty sure he won't).
I'm am extremely happy for friend.
I'm so happy for him that I was even considering flying up there to meet them there. Sadly, I'm broke as shit and will not be able to go  .

it seems priceless that your friend gets to experience simon for their first psy party ever!
i'm not going to see simon either... alot of us aren't able to!
my life does not suck however because i don't have money. don't allow the system to make you believe that since you are broke your life sucks!
just think, you might be able to save some monies over the next year and then go catch simon in australia at an amazing doof party or down in south africa for a gathering!!! =)

I think underground is just another word for "some little kid behind his computer on soft synths he dloaded on mommy's computer making the same lame ass proggressive bassline, and sounding the same as every other act"
blah. hallucinogen fuckin rocks, last time i seen him in ny was either 97 or 98 and he ripped shit up!!! that night i got a shpongle demo too! great night!:D fuckin great music. cool guy too very nice.
imho all u fuckin prog wankers should look up to him for technique, style, and also how he acts. very humble fellow. unlike half the self promoting assholes out there who just make music to make money.
btw, fuck music after 2001, it's all fucking garbage. fuck it's all garbage generally after 99. goa took a wrong turn once it went all VA and all digital. it'll take a while before digital gets good enough to compete with the analog:) now it takes no dedication to be a psy artist, just dload some cracks!>_<
btw, wasn't it the lone deranger which pretty much created a subgenre called "psy"?:-) i remember people started saying "the lone deranger is not goa, it's psy!"
also name one record done in this year that can match up with twisted.
with new records, will u be listening to it in a month? probably not some other lame ass prog artist will come out using a new VST
